Mark J. Sullivan

Mark J. Sullivan is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts, class of 1972, and two years later, he received his Juris doctorate degree in Washington, D.C. from The American University's Washington College of Law.

Mark J. Sullivan is one of only six Certified Criminal Law Specialists in all of Riverside County, California, and the only one in Palm Springs. He is President of the Criminal Law Committee of the Desert Bar Association, and has served as a lecturer, author, arbitrator and judge pro tem.

In a poll of prosecutors in a San Bernardino County District Attorney's office, he was voted the defense lawyer that the prosecutors would want to represent them. In that vein, Mr. Sullivan has successfully defended many local court personnel, including clerks, court reporters, bailiffs, police officers, prosecutors, public defenders, and other lawyers and judges. He has even defended the former chief justice of a state supreme court.

In June of 2007, Mr. Sullivan associate in his firm veteran criminal trial attorney Denise E. Shaw. Ms. Shaw, who herself is a soon-to-be Certified Criminal Law Specialist, having passed the State Bar's 2007 Criminal Law Specialist Examination, has thirteen(13) years of criminal trial experience. She is a former homicide and sex crimes prosecutor with the Orange County District Attorneys office.

Denise Shaw is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and California Western School of Law in San Diego.
